GLUTEN FREE SUGAR COOKIE CUTOUTS


INGREDIENTS
2 sticks butter, softened
1¼ cups granulated sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups gluten free all purpose flour blend
1½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
sprinkles, powdered sugar, powdered cocoa for decorating

INSTRUCTIONS
Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy
Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat until creamy
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients a third at a time until well combined
Cover the bowl and chill the dough in the refrigerator for one hour
Preheat oven to 350° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Roll a quarter of the dough out onto a lightly floured surface to about a 3/16th of an inch thickness and cut out shapes with a cookie cutter
Place the cutouts on the baking sheet and cook for 9-10 minutes
Remove the cookies from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack
Repeat with remaining dough
Decorate cookies and enjoy!
